Just days after Sidney Powell pled guilty in Georgia, former Trump ally and lawyer Jenna Ellis followed suit by taking a plea deal, implicating others, including Rudy Guiliani.
In a tearful statement, Ellis pled guilty to one felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and now faces years of probation and a fine.
“If I knew then what I knew now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-challenges,” Ellis said, her voice breaking at times.
“I look back on this experience with deep remorse.”
She also said, “I failed to do my due diligence.”
“In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump should be pursued in a just and legal way.”
“I endeavored to represent my client to the best of my ability,” she said.
While documents posted online do not indicate the terms of the agreement, three other co-defendants narrowly avoided prison time in exchange for their guilty pleas.

As Red State reported, Ellis has directly implicated former Trump lawyers Rudy Guiliani and Ray Smith, who have pleaded not guilty to a far wider range of charges.
According to Ellis, she assisted them in making “false statements” to Georgia lawmakers during a legislative hearing, effectively putting them all in legal peril.
